Jacquelyn Sertic, PhD student in the School of Kinesiology and member of the Human Sensorimotor Control Laboratory (HSCL) and the Center for Applied & Translational Sensory Science, has been awarded the Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship for the 2023-24 school year. The funding will support her as she completes the second research project of her dissertation. Sertic’s project focuses on the motor complications associated with proprioceptive impairment in people with Parkinson’s disease. This project is fully funded through the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NASPSPA) Graduate Student Research Grant, which she was awarded in early June.
